Sassy Halloween Fun!!

Once in a while, I run into something that I LOVE!! Something that's a little sassy. And a whole lot of fun! Enter in this fabulous wreath. Made by Mallory. I don't just adore this wreath. I adore Classy Clutter.

I'm like 2% crafty. No lie! My friends try to help me. I'm just not there. But you know what, this bad boy and I....we've got a date! With that sassy ribbon! Hopefully, I can get a wreath made before Halloween. How fun would that be? ~Chels

Mexican Cornbread Bake

I tried out a new recipe today. Lola is always blogging about these yummy Gooseberry Patch Free Recipes. And there is a free one every week! I seen this one on Wednesday. And finally made it to the store today. To buy a few of the things I really needed to make it.

It's been really hot around here. So my hubby grilled up some chicken, I made a Mexican salad, and this yummy cornbread bake. Dinner was heaven today! A little much. But I really think you should try it out too! I will definitely be checking the free recipes from now on. ~Chels

Mexican Cornbread Bake

1 lb. ground beef
4-1/2 oz. can chopped green chiles
1 onion, chopped
2 t. Mexican seasoning
1 T. chili powder
8-oz. can Mexican-style tomato sauce
8-1/2 oz. pkg. cornbread mix

In a skillet over medium heat, brown beef and drain. Add chiles, onion, seasoning and chili powder; cook until onion is tender. Add tomato sauce and simmer. Prepare cornbread batter according to package directions; pour half the batter into a lightly greased 2-quart baking dish. Spoon beef mixture over batter; top with remaining cornbread batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes, or until cornbread is golden. Serves 4 to 6.

Cupcakes in a Jar

I was searching through flickr today. And I found this picture. It lead me to this blog and the recipe for these yummy goodies! Don't they look good? I'm not a baker. But I might just have to try these. It would make my Wednesday a lot better. Do you think I can get the same result from a cake mix, a container of frosting, and some Mason Jars? ~Chels

Thimbleberry I Love You!

First of all, no that is not my hand. But I was searching for a swatch of this gorgeous nail polish. And I couldn't find one. But I did find this picture through a google search. When I hit the link to the page, it didn't come up. So I can't even give credit.

I really need to start listening to my friends. Around Halloween, Lola told me about this nail polish. Mostly because I kept asking her about her nails. She always has amazing looking nails! We were in Vegas. But I never made it to a Walgreen's. Then I kind of forgot about it.

I would put it on my list. But then, I get kind of sidetracked in Walgreen's. I go to get pictures printed and I leave with $20 worth of candy and magazine. Never making it to the photo area. Or I'm going for a card, and leave with way too many sale items!

Case in point, a few weeks ago. I went to pick up a prescription. While I was waiting, I started to wonder around the cosmetics area. I was looking for some Burt's Bees lipgloss. Instead, I found Sinful Colors. And they were on a BOGO!!! I ended up buying 6! Yes, 6. For under $10!!!

This color is Thimbleberry. To be honest, it's the only one I've been wearing! It's a bright pinkish coral color. Perfect for summer. And I'm honestly in love. I don't get any chips for at least 10 days. A bonus for me! I HATE to actually polish my nails. But I LOVE the look when they're done. I probably should have bought more than one bottle of this color. Because it's the color I'll probably be wearing until the Fall. ~Chels

A Little Treat

So there are a few things you should know about me:

1. I'm in college.
2. This week was "Finals Week."
3. I've been terribly stressed out.
4. I don't ever really spoil myself.
5. I really wish I was good at makeup application. But I'm not!
6. I don't have much makeup. Just very basic things from the drugstore.
7. I lust after some of the makeup my friends have.
8. I like to shop at Walgreen's.
9. I'm happy about summer. It's been in the mid 90s all week!
10. I have friends who are makeup artists, hair stylists, or performers.

Leads me to my splurge yesterday. I finished my last final in the afternoon. And I was completely stressed out. Because honestly, all week, I've been stressed with finals. I left school and figured I would go to Walgreen's. I wanted to pick up a few things that we needed. Which also happened to be on sale this week. Oh, and I had to pick up a prescription.

Just as I parked, my hubby called me. Just to check on me. He knew that the week had been a tough one for me. So we're talking. And I get real excited when I pass one of the many makeup displays. He asked me what I was looking at. I told him that I was looking at some makeup. My hubby, being the sweet man that he is, told me to pick up a few things. Like a little reward for finishing up the semester. :)

Remember I told you that I have a friend who is a MUA, and one that is a performer? They both had told me about these Wet n Wild eyeshadows. They said they were good quality. Like the more expensive makeup that I lust after. :) And just my luck, Wet n Wild is on sale this week! Buy 1, get 1 half off!

Now just look at these yummy eyeshadows:

This is the packaging. Cute!

This is Vanity. My favorite of the 4. I can see myself using this every day. :)

I also like this one. It's Greed. I think this would be nice to wear for date nights with my hubby.

This is 1 of the 2 that I bought that are a bit more...exciting and adventurous. This is Lust.

And this one, Pride, is very unusual for me. Something that I wouldn't normally buy. But I thought it would be fun to experiment with. :)

But I got these 4 eyeshadow palettes for $15. I also picked up 2 blushes, 2 bronzers, and 4 lipsticks. I spent a total of $18 plus tax. Well, it would have been $28, but I had a $10 coupon for Walgreen's. You know, that was a good deal. And I got a lot of fun things.

I had asked Manders a while back if she would help me get better with my makeup application. I've been watching tons of YouTube videos. So this was a good little haul for me. Now that I'm on summer break, Manders and I are setting up an afternoon to play with some makeup. I'm really excited! ~Chels

Mod Podge Glass

I was just doing a search for colored glass. Last night, we went out for Cinco de Mayo and J's birthday. Lots of fun. Some friends of ours were performing. And the decor was beautiful! I really wish I was more risky. You know, to buy some of those bright accents. They sell them everywhere around here! But the glass, it was just gorgeous! The candles from inside made the glass glow beautifully. :)

Back to my search...all the glass was really expensive. Because most, if not all was "Depression Glass." You know, the antique stuff. In fact, Lola has a bunch of that stuff. And it really is beautiful. But really out of our price range.

But when I did I search on Flickr, I found these cute jars. And Hello! They're old glass jars. Like salsa, jelly, and spaghetti sauce jars. :) They were painted with Mod Podge. Um, I'm not crafty. So I have no clue. I'll probably call Lola before I start my project. But take a look...

Hanging in your garden. Oh that would be so beautiful for a cookout! Or just on a pretty evening.

Glowing along the fence. They would look gorgeous with our new hearts. :)

Could you imagine the collection that you could come up with? And they're not opaque. So I'm sure my hubby wouldn't mind a few pink and purple mixed in with the blue and green. :)

Honestly, I can't wait to start this project. You just never know what you're going to get when you do a google or flickr search. But I'm glad I found these little gems. :) ~Chels

Mother Bird Necklace

Isn't this the cutest necklace? I wish I would have seen it earlier. It would have made the perfect Mother's Day gift for my mom and MIL. And it's on sale right now for $11.40! What? Actually, all the jewelry in this Etsy shop is pretty inexpensive. I might just have to bookmark it. I could get some nice gifts. You know, it's never too early to start buying for Christmas. :) ~Chels

Dear ABC

Dear ABC,

This is Chelsea. I've been a loyal ABC viewer my entire life. No lie! I only went over to NBC when the writer's strike happened. Then I ran back when you started showing new episodes again. But lately, you're making me real mad!

First you cancel all my favorite shows: Eastwick, Pushing Daisies, Port Charles, Dirty Sexy Money, Women's Murder Club, etc. I could go on for a long time. But like any working relationship, it's about give and take.

Then you show re-runs of Grey's for weeks. Until Easter week. You show a new episode. WTH? I missed it. Because I was doing the whole family and religious thing. You know. It was Easter week.

Then I go on to your website this morning. It's cold outside. And it's Saturday. I'm still in bed. So I figure, WTH, I'll watch the Grey's episode that I miss this week because of weather. Your video player thing is not working. I tried and tried. But it only shows a few seconds at a time. So I gave up. I moved on to Lifetime's website to watch a movie. So far boyfriend, Lifetime is kicking your butt!

If you don't start to give me a little something too, ABC we might have to break up. Let's just put it this way, if it wasn't for Grey's and PP, we would have broken up a long time ago! Oh, and General Hospital. So get it together.

With love. ~Chels

Too Adorable

The weather got real crappy today. And now we don't have any TV. So I decided to come and work on my blog and all it's issues. I've decided to put all my post on private. Individually, I'll repost. Stupid me! It's going to be a lot of work! But I'm going to get it done. Hopefully this weekend. Our entire weekend is supposed to be filled with rain and wind. :(

But Lola sent me an email, that had this picture in it. She's planning some kind of party or something. And she thought I'd get a hoot out of the center pieces. Oh ya! They're so cute! Now I want to hit all the garage sales looking for old boots. I would LOVE to make a few of these for our BBQs this summer. So cute!

Would you make something like this? I even thought it would be cute to buy some rain boots. Those would be really easy, because you wouldn't have to worry about the water leaking out. Darn, these are cute! I'm going to have to go check out the Goodwill this week. :) ~Chels

Darling Earrings

Lately, I've been so fascinated with jewelry. The other day, I ran into my friend, Manders
at the grocery store. And she had on these earrings. Aren't they cute? I like that they're 2 toned too! But I can't find them anywhere. :( And to me, they're just a classic pair of earrings. Simple, elegant, and ladylike. I hope I'm able to find them somewhere. If you've seen these earrings, please let me know where you can get them. ~Chels

Cute Favors

So a bunch of our friends are getting married. And one of the couples wants to have a "Western" themed wedding. My friend was asking me about all of our decorations and favors. Unfortunately, the company that we ordered from, they've gone out of business. But they had the cutest things!

But I wanted to help my friend. She wanted some unusual, but fun favors. I found these. You get the little tub, 2 soaps (any color), and the little rope for only $3.50 a piece! And since it's a small wedding, I think this is completely affordable. They also come wrapped up. So you don't have to worry about any extra costs.

I hope that I can find some more things for her. My mom told me that she's going to go search through her computer. Because my parents help a lot with our wedding too. Hopefully we find some nice "western" stuff. If you have any suggestions, please leave them in the comments. ~Chels

I Heart My In-Laws

A while back, I was talking to my mother-in-law on the phone. We were talking about our house. And the things I wanted to buy for my house. I've posted about a few of the things on here. But honestly, my hubby and I live on a pretty tight budget. We save for twice a year trips to the rodeo. Because we really enjoy going. And for the occasional trips home, to visit family. We live in a different state. And we each get one splurge a month. That's about it.

The rest of our money goes to the house. You know DIY projects, and just making the payments. So I don't buy much to "decorate" with. If I happen to find a good sale on something, I'll pick it up. If not, I just dream about it. Knowing that one day, we'll be able to afford stuff.

But I seen this a while back. For $15. And for most people $15 isn't a lot of money. Most people would just buy it. But I couldn't. Because I felt guilty. If I hadn't mentioned it, I'm also in college. So we live off of my hubby's income. That's it. He has a good job. But to juggle the cost of college, a new house, and living expenses...let's just say it's tight on 1 income.

Back to my phone call with my MIL. We were talking and I said that I really liked these hearts. I thought they'd look cute in our backyard. You know, 3 would look darling on the back fence. That's all I said. I didn't really think much about it again.

Today, when I got home from my classes, I found a big 'ol package on our porch. I didn't know what it was. I knew I hadn't ordered anything. And I assumed my hubby hadn't either. So I was in shock. Well, I drug the box into the house. Because it was too big and heavy for me to pick up.

Since my hubby was at work, I decided to open it up. I was curious. Inside was the sweetest letter from my in-laws. Telling my hubby and I just how proud of us they are. And inside, were 7 barbed wire hearts that my FIL had made. And you know what he made them out of? The old barbed wire fence.

See a few summers ago, my hubby and I went back to TX. And we stayed in this little house behind his parents house. There was this barbed wire fence behind the little house. I'm not sure what it was for. But it had wooden posts and barbed wire. Well, in the evenings, after I had helped my MIL (at the time, hubby and I weren't married yet) make dinner, I would go sit out there on one of the posts. And I'd wait for my FIL and hubby to get back from working.

When we got married, my FIL told a story about one day I was sitting there on that fence. My hubby had had a tough day working. He was beat, and a little dejected. But as they road their horses back in, my hubby seen me. He sat taller in his saddle, got a crook'd smile, and a twinkle in his eyes. Then he told my FIL, "Pops, I've found my gal. I know she's the one. Every time I see her, she makes my life better. I just know she's the one."

A few weeks later, we got engaged. It was the 4th of July. And I was sitting on the post of the fence. Hubby and I were watching the fireworks. It was really sweet. So my in-laws always think of us when they think of that 'ol fence.

Fast forward a bit. And my in-laws took down the fence. My BIL's small kiddos had tried to climb it and would get some pretty nasty cuts from it. Remember, it was made out of barbed wire. So they took it down. But when we got married, my FIL built us a bench out of the posts. He told me, that way I'd have a proper place to sit and wait for my hubby. He was always worried that I'd hurt myself on the barbed wire.

I love that bench! It's in our little entry way. And I do find myself waiting for my hubby there. I like to see his truck drive up in the evenings. :) But I never asked about the wire. Who asks about barbed wire? Well, my FIL had rolled it up and stuck it in the barn. So when my MIL mentioned these hearts, he dug out the old wire. And he made us 7!

I know exactly where I want to hang them. And now, there is a cute story to go along with our barbed wire hearts. I know we'll have them for many, many years. And guess what? I LOVE my in-laws with all my heart! ~Chels

$50

Do you remember me telling you about the $50 that I got from our taxes? Well, hubby put his towards a new patio set. He felt guilty, because a few weeks ago, he got some new boots. But he really needed them. He works on a Ranch. And his other ones, well darn it...they were getting holes in them. But hubby didn't see it like that. He felt guilty.

So I wanted to pitch in my $50 too. You know, we could get us a nice table and chairs quicker. But my hubby wouldn't let me. He said it was time for me to buy myself something. And he reminded me of this belt that I had seen. We had gone to the warehouse to get hubby's boots. Because they're less expensive there. And well, it's just a fun place to go. When we went to go pay, I seen this Tony Lama belt. And I fell in love!

On the website, it sells for $90, plus shipping. But in the warehouse, I think it was $60. So tomorrow I'm going to call them up. I hope they still have it. I'm calling first. Because the warehouse is over an hour away. I don't want to make the trip if they don't have it. And thank you hubby! I'm glad that you got your boots. And that you think I should get my belt. ~Chels

Being an Adult

My hubby was almost in a panic a little while ago. He asked me if we had sent our tax papers in. Ya, we did. And we already got our rebate. It was really quick. Less than a week. And we had already talked about what we wanted to use the money for. We decided to make an extra house payment. And only to keep $100. We split the money.

When our rebate came in the mail, I deposited it in the bank and made the extra payment. It actually made almost 3 extra payments. :) It felt really good to pay ahead on our house. That night, I gave my hubby $50. Remember, we decided to keep $100. He didn't say anything. Just smiled.

Tonight when I assured him that we had sent our taxes and got our rebate, it must have rang a bell for him. "That was what the $50 was for." I just smiled. Sometimes he makes me laugh! But ya, that's what we did with our tax rebate.

This is probably the 1st time I've ever used my rebate for something good. Last year, we used our rebate to go on vacation and buy some furniture. We did save a little. And we used that for our down payment for our house. And the year before, we used the money for our wedding.

Before this, I would have gotten the money and treated myself. You know, some new clothes, makeup, fun dinners out, etc. But I can definitely tell that I'm growing up. Besides, it much nicer to own a home than it is to buy new clothes. I'm just saying. What did you do with your rebate? ~Chels

Cute Jewelry

Today has pretty much been a lazy day for us. No excuse. We've just been lazy. I think we just needed to re-energize our batteries. And with that, comes wasting some time on the internet. :) I found this shop. They have some really cute jewelry. Along with really good prices! Because if you like western stuff, you know that it can get really pricey. Here are 3 of my favorite pieces.

This is a brooch. I like that it's a pair of boots, but it still has some cute details. And it's only $14. They have a few different colors and styles too!

This bracelet is my favorite. It's simple, yet captures the western feel. I like how they alternate the horses and horseshoes. And the rope detail just makes me smile. The cost is $15.

Lastly, are these earrings. I like that they're button type earrings. And the bull rider reminds me of my hubby! But they gorgeous. And only $9 for all that detail!

These are such cute pieces! I'm definitely going to hint at these for my birthday and anniversary. Because these are pieces that I could use on a regular basis. This shop has many, many items. Not just western. If you like jewelry, I would recommend taking a look here. ~Chels

Much Needed

Lately, we've been all stressed out. You know, tax season. And we're first time homeowners. And I think you can say it, we're still "Newlyweds." Plus this stupid Census! Life has just been a little stressful lately. But we're holding it together. Our taxes are pretty much done! Yay! And I've filled out the 3rd Census. I'm pretty sure it's the 3rd. What's with all these papers?

Anyway, I was feeling stressed out. And desperately in the need of a laugh. Or some good news. So I googled "Longhorn food." OK, I was also in need of some good food. And you can't deny it. Football food is good. And very comforting. Insert these gems.

Aren't they cute? They're cake pops. Just decorated like Longhorns. OK, so I'm not all crafty. My Longhorns probably would look horrible. But, I would like to try and make plain cake pops. After doing a quick search, and calling Lola, they don't sound too hard to make. Basically, you bake a cake. Then you mix together the frosting and the cake. And roll into balls. Insert a stick and dunk in chocolate. Sounds yummy! ~Chels

Happy Easter

I just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Easter! My hubby and I are going to church this morning. And then we're just going to lounge around. We're planning a little BBQ. But it should be a laid back day. Not too much fuss.

You know, the whole point of Easter is going to church and worshiping. We've got that in prospective. We just wish that we had our family here. But I guess you can't have it all. But I hope everyone has a nice day. I'm ready for some chocolate bunnies! How about you? ~Chels

Lights

It's starting to get warm. I just love spring weather! And my hubby and I are wanting to do more and more work on our yard. We have a really nice back patio. And with all the beautiful grass, I just want to sit outside. But I also want it to feel more inviting. More like an extension of our house. :)

Enter in, these cute lights.

And because they're not too girly, my hubby liked them too! I really like these ones. They're £16 a strand. We could hang these around our back patio. And they match these stepping stones that we put in the back. :)

And these are cute too! For £13 a strand. These would be cute to hang in our entry way. I know it sounds weird. But it's all country bumpkin cute!

What's with me and finding these UK sites? Oh well, but I really like these lights. These might be my splurge for the month. :) ~Chels

We're Going Home

Wow! We had such an exciting weekend! We went to the rodeo this weekend. It was a few hours of a drive. But my hubby and I really wanted to come. :) So we came. We don't get to go to a lot of rodeos anymore. So we really took advantage of the opportunity.

All of our friends are here. And it was really fun to be able to just hangout and have a good time. But sadly, our fun weekend has come to an end. We're on our way home. Yup, right now. But it was still a really fun weekend! I hope that we get to go to Vegas this year too!

Well, I'm typing this on my phone. So that's it folks! It's not really easy to blog from your phone. I hope you had a good weekend. I know we did. It might take the entire week for me to recover. :) ~Chels

Papa Loved Mama

I heard this song tonight. I really liked this song when I was young. I'm not completely sure why. But I did. I think it's because I liked to dance to this song. I've never been a Garth Brooks fan. But I really liked this song. So I went to YouTube to find a video. Surprisingly, I couldn't find a good one. So I found this video. But this is the song. ~Chels

Horse and Heart Bracelet

While doing some shopping for my friends, I came across this beauty. I was actually trying to find a gift for Lola's birthday. And I found this instead. I just love it! I love that the bracelet chain has horseshoes in it too! And it's only $15 plus shipping here. Now if I could only buy it... ~Chels

Happy Birthday

What a day! Today is Lola's birthday. She's such a good friend. In fact, she is the one that set up my hubby and I! Happy Birthday Lola! And the twins were also born. How cool is that? Manders is such a trooper. I seen her earlier this week. She just wanted to have those babies!

3 very important people are celebrating their birthdays today. Happy Birthday from the Honky Tonk couple! We love you all! ~Chels

Rope 'Em Earrings

I was doing a little "online window shopping" on Etsy today. I found these earrings! Aren't they cute? I so want them. And about 10 other things from Hot Chick Physic's shop. She has some really cute things. At very reasonable prices. Heck, these earrings are only $6. I really want them. Can you tell my hubby? Do you have any favorite Etsy shops? Let me about them. ~Chels

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Happy St. Patty's Day! I almost forgot to wear green today. Then my hubby reminded me when he made green pancakes for breakfast. Yes, green pancakes!

Tonight, we're going to go see some of our friends play at WD. Our friends have a band...the BBs. And tonight, they're playing in a nearby city. So a bunch of us are going to go see them. It should be a lot of fun! I can't wait to just enjoy myself. I'm still dying from all the work we did over past weekend.

Have a nice day! But be responsible. You know, you want to enjoy St. Patty's Day. But not over do it, and then regret it in the morning. So round up your friends and have a good time! ~Chels

I Hurt...Everywhere!

I really do! Every muscle, every bone...they all hurt! My hubby and I worked so hard on our yard this past weekend. But it looks nice. The sods is gorgeous! Our entire yard looks amazing. With just sod! :)

We also planted our trees and rose bushes. And some flowers that I bought. There weren't many, so I really spread them out. But all weekend, we were out in our yard. The dogs really enjoyed it. My Hubby and I are so proud of ourselves. I'm glad we started with the "bones."

My hubby even left me a little corner. In the sunniest part of the yard. For my garden. Now I just need to find time to start it. It's not that I don't appreciate my hubby's help. I just want this to be my project. You know, he's working on so many things already. I just want to do something to add to our household. Do you understand?

So that sums up our weekend. We worked on yard work. Our dirt yard is now covered in green sod. I've got beautiful roses bushes. They really do make me smile! And now, I'm researching small gardens. Life is good! ~Chels

I Want a Garden

I've been wanting a small garden. Nothing fancy. But something I can keep up with. And I want it to be my project. I mentioned it to my hubby the other day. And right away, he started drawing pictures and making diagrams. Making it a lot more complicated than I'd like. So I'm going to Lowe's tomorrow. Alone. Hopefully, I don't get too overwhelmed.

I want to grow a small patch of flowers like these. Aren't they pretty? I don't care what kind of flowers. Just as long as they're colorful!

And some veggies. Oh and strawberries. I want to grow something we can use. Do you know what I mean? And if it works out, maybe next year, hubby can make us some of these raised beds. :)

Because I really want some of this yummy goodness! There is nothing better than fresh fruit and veggies!

So that's my plan. To go do some research tomorrow. To see if it's better to go with plants or seeds. To see what is good for our area. I don't know if I'll buy anything tomorrow. But I do want to start researching. Around here, you're supposed to plant between April and May. I'm a little scared. But I'm also excited! If you have any advice, please leave it in the comments. I can use all the help I can get. ~Chels

Girl Scout Cookies

I've really been wanting some Girl Scout cookies. Really badly. But around here, you don't ever see Girl Scouts. Ever! Where are they? So I asked around. And I got a number for the local troop. I called, and the lady took down our address. She promised to come by. That was almost 2 weeks ago! Ugh! I really, really want some cookies. Has anyone else had this problem? Do you know if they sale the cookies online? I really want a few boxes. ~Chels

I Didn't Mean to Turn You On

Do you remember this song? "I Didn't Mean to Turn You On," by Robert Palmer. My hubby and I heard it the other night. We were jamming to 80s music. They were doing a special show on the radio. It was a nice change of pace. But this song, it made us both laugh. Ya, we grew up during the 80s and 90s. This song still puts a smile on my face. I remember the music video too! I wanted to look like one of those ladies. Crazy! But I really like the song and the music video. ~Chels

This Weather!

We are now the proud owners of sod, 10 trees and 5 rose bushes. Ya, I got some rose bushes! Pink and white ones. :) They were a complete surprise from my hubby. The nursery delivered the trees and bushes yesterday. My hubby called to make sure I was home. And I was expecting sod and trees. Instead, they delivered rose bushes and trees. No sod. It will be delivered sometime next week. Something about the sod they had on hand was dying. So I'm glad they waited to deliver it.

Oh, and we were supposed to do a lot of planting today. That isn't happening. The weather is so bad today! So our rose bushes and trees are now in the garage. I hope they live. And we're hoping to plant everything next weekend. If the weather decides to agree with us. The sod should be delivered by then. At least we're hoping! ~Chels

Grassware Jewelry

So cute! That's what I said when I saw these little treasures. You see, we're having some really bad weather. For the last few days, it's been incredibly windy. In fact, my hubby and I seen a roof fly off of a house yesterday. It's been bad. So I've been inside. Trying to cook. And playing on the computer a lot.

Along with finding new blogs, I've found more little treasures. Like Grassware. You can customize any of the necklaces. Which range between $23 and $42. They're too cute! And you can add extra charms, $3-12 a piece. I would really like one of these necklaces. Because you can completely customize them! Oh my. I could just see one with mine and my hubby's names...and our wedding day. ~Chels

Love Lasso Ring

We've been having bad weather. I don't think it's ever going to warm up here. So we're pretty much stuck inside. Do you think that winter is ever going to end? I'm starting to wondering. While I was just sitting in the house today, I was searching for some jewelry. And I came across this ring. I think my hubby is just praying for warm weather, so I stop doing searches online. :)

But don't you just love this ring? I do! Probably because it looks like a rope. And it says love. It's a Zoe and Morgan Ring. They also have it in silver. But I like the look of the gold one. :) The price isn't too bad either. £85, or about $130. Now if I could just win the lottery. Or maybe my hubby will buy me this as an early anniversary present. ~Chels

Our Yard

Today hubby and I spent almost the entire day at the local nursery. We're starting to get our hands dirty...in our yard. So we went with our lists to see what they had. Of course, I wanted all the pretty flowers. Rose bushes, seasonal flowers, and even strawberry plants. My hubby wanted all these "structured" bushes and trees. Go figure huh?

But we've made out a plan. We're going to slowly work at our yard. That means all the "bones" need to come together first. Ugh! But we'll get it done. We priced a lot of stuff today. And talked to a really nice man. He gave us all kinds of tips and tricks! What a nice man he was.

Well, hubs and I, we ordered sod today. We figured that's what is going to be the most expensive part of the yard. And the part that is going to need the most labor. I guess my roses are just going to have to wait until later. But I'm glad we have a plan. I don't feel so lost anymore. ~Chels

Tired

I'm so tired. This week has just been so crazy! Between Valentine's Day, Presidents' Day and Mardi Gras, I'm barely standing. I really need some sleep tonight. And we don't even party. You know, like getting drunk. No, we just like to do a lot of things...in very little time.

I just don't understand why we cram so much into 1 week. It's insanity! Hopefully I get to catch up on some sleep. And hopefully, we don't have to do too much this weekend. Because I'm not sure I can handle it. Ya, I need some time to recover from all these holidays. Because we crammed so much into the last week! ~Chels

Happy Valentine's Day!

My hubby, he's pretty amazing! He has the whole day planned out for us. :) I just love Valentine's Day! It's just an excuse for me to tell my hubby how much I love him! I was never a fan of Valentine's Day. Until I met him. And he always makes Valentine's Day so special. I'm a very lucky lady!

I just wanted to wish ya'll a Happy Valentine's Day. I hope your day is filled with lots of love! Now it's time for me to enjoy my breakfast in bed. ~Chels

NuWave Oven

Hubby and I are still in bed. We're being a little lazy this morning. And we're watching a ton of infomercials. Well, sorta watching them and falling asleep. We're really being lazy! But the infomercial for the NuWave got me interested! I know, it's all gimmicky. But if this could help me and my cooking...it might just be worth the $150. It might be worth it. If only I could cook like that. But I'd probably still make a disaster out of my meals. I guess I should really think before I go out and buy me a NuWave. What do you think of them? Would you buy one? ~Chels

Temporary Home

This song makes me cry everytime I hear it. Carrie Underwood's Temporary Home is such a beautiful song. But I cry. Even when I'm driving. People must think I'm nuts! But I really do enjoy this song. It's beautiful! But then again, I've like all of Carrie's music. She's a really good country artist. And she's sticking to her roots. I'm glad! ~Chels

General Hospital

General Hospital is my favorite show to watch! I've been watching since I was in high school. And I've always loved it! Darn, this show is getting good! This is the best the writing has ever been! Oh, I love GH!

Lately, I haven't been watching it a lot. Because I've been busy with everything in life. But I sat down and caught up over the weekend! Thank you YouTube! I watch Scrubsjasonmaxie's videos. She's really good about posting. Heck, one day I was going to go watch an episode from the day before. GH was about an hour away from showing here, and she was already uploading that day's show!

Is there any show that you're really passionate about? GH is my show. I can miss Greys or DWTS, but I just can't miss GH! I'm glad that I found Scrubsjasonmaxie. But I don't always get to watch the show when it comes out. It's nice to catch up on the weekends. :) ~Chels

If We Had Kids...

I was searching for some stuff for our dogs. Toys and beds. Somehow I found myself here. Looking at this Cowboy Basket of Toys. It's just too cute! There's puppets, soft animals, and just a bunch of toys. It's really cute set. It's $45. But that's a lot of stuff. So I think the price is right. :)

Now it only we had some Honky Tonk Kiddos. I'd buy this basket for my kids. I can't wait to start having kiddos. But, this couple isn't quite ready to expand the Honky Tonk Family just yet. Sorry mom. ~Chels

Feeling Better

We're finally feeling better. Today hubs went back to work. When I say we've never been sick like that before, I'm not lying! It was so bad! I really wanted to just die. My entire body hurt. Badly! But now we're better.

I really think the chicken soup that our friends brought over, it did the job! And it was really good. So much so, I called them to see where they got it. And I picked some up for dinner tonight. Ya, we're having soup, grilled cheese, and 7UP. I don't want to push my luck too much. Besides, that soup was really good!

In the end, I'm glad we have great friends. They help out whenever we need the help. I'm so grateful. And I'm so happy that the hubs and I are doing a lot better. Because that was a rough week! ~Chels
